First Weigh In
Its been 5 weeks since beginning this weight loss journey! Tomorrow we will step on the scale and record the first official weight results. Whatever this number is for each of us, we are all much more aware of what we are eating and how healthy or unhealthy these foods really are. I know I’ve been very good about counting, measuring and cooking healthier these past several weeks, so whatever the scale shows – I’m ready for it!! I will continue to expand my food choices and workout. I’m definitely looking forward to Spring!

Eating Out
Well, Valentine's Day was a bit of a challenge. I had a great salad for lunch and ate my healthy snacks during the day. Met up with a group of friends for dinner, and I am thrilled to say that I went with the best options on the menu. I enjoyed a wonderful grilled chicken breast, steamed vegetables and cottage cheese. My friends all ordered delicious entrees like ribs, prime rib, seafood fettucini alfredo, veal parmesan, etc. All these dinners looked and smelled divine, but I was happy eating what I ordered. I didn't even tempt myself with the warm bread and butter. I even turned down chocolate candy offered afterward! No guilt this evening for me, and I'm very proud of myself~

Starting our Fourth Week!
Tonight is our first dinner at Aladdin’s and I’m looking forward to the food, education and camaraderie. I am finding it easier to identify good foods versus not-so-good foods and make better choices; Vitabot is certainly a great tool to use for this. Also finding it easier now to drink my 64 oz of water per day – I have a wonderful bottle my daughter gave me that is inspiring and perfect for keeping me on track during the day!

Changes
Its been 2+ weeks now and I have been very focused on preparing and eating healthy foods and working out regularly. The scale number is trending down and that sure is helping to keep me motivated. Entering all my food into Vitabot is identifying what foods are perhaps not the best choices, and showing me options for better ones. I feel great, looking forward to this lifestyle change!
